Granola Bar recipe

3c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2c. packed brown sugar
1/4c. wheat germ
1/2c. butter
1/4c. corn syrup
1/4c. liquid honey
1/2c. chocolate chips
1/2c. flaked coconut

combine rolled oats, brown sugar, wheat germ in bowl. cut in butter. stir in corn syrup and honey, choco chips, coconut

press into greased 9in square cake pan. bake at 350 for 20-25 mins or until golden. let cool on wire rack for 10 mins. cut into bars.

Uncle B, I know this might not be the most healthy granola bar out there but it does not come prepackaged and the boys ate it! I even added some flax seed to the last batch.

Also a word of warning: if you have a faulty oven like mine, and typically 425 is actually 350, there is a chance that 425 might actually be 450; evidence being the overdone muffins I made this evening :( I dream of a new oven... and new towels, bedsheets, shoes, and jeans. Can't wait to do some shopping in 24 days!
